This is a resource for the Vancouver media democracy community to provide feedback and input concerning Media Democracy Day 2008. It will also serve as a space to collaboratively come up with strategy for future media democracy activities.

Areas For input:

1. General

*Everything should be done earlier

*Initial meetings and fundraising should start in March or earlier.

2. Publicity

*Posters and other materials should be designed earlier (early summer) -Steve

*Printing sponsorship should be arranged late summer -Steve

*Printing should be done early fall. -Steve

*Arrange media sponsors in the early summer (Georgia Straight, Tyee, CommonGround, Columbia Journal, Vancouver Observer, Others?) - Steve

*Get school teachers and University professors to involve classes (reach out in August)

*Hire posters

3. Programme

*More time for discussion -Steve

4. Logistics and Organzing

*Put some effort into inviting more people from more groups to initial MDD organizing meetings - Steve - Naava

*Live Steaming video/audio would be cool - Steve  -Naava will ask David Maidman -

     -we can set that up with CJSF through Frieda

      -let's talk with Coop earlier this year

5.After Party

*Create a committee to focus on just this -Steve

*More publicity -Steve

*Try to get one big name musician to attract an audience

6. Website

*Consider making the entire MDD site a wiki so that more people can add content etc.. less of a bottleneck  - Steve
